Original artwork in paint and thread of the bluebells at Angmering, West Sussex. Piece is worked over natural fabrics - calico and silk noil, which are layered to form a textured background and then painted before being free motion embroidered in natural rayon threads.
It was a beautiful, still day in May with the light dappling and sparkling through the new leaves on the beech trees and lighting up the floor of iridescent blue and purple bluebells. It was quiet and still and the air was heavy with the perfume of the flowers. It felt as though we were standing in a woodland cathedral with light cascading through stained glass windows.
Supplied mounted and framed in a simple black and white frame, without glass so you can see and touch the texture and detail.
