Closeup of original free machine and hand embroidery of the gardens and Lion Gate at Parham House, West Sussex. Original was worked over calico, silk noil and found scraps which is painted before being embroidered with rayon threads. It was then finished with hand embroidery to add detail and texture to the flowers.
